Choosing the Right ALL-IN-ONE Wedding Venue

Choosing a wedding venue is not only the very FIRST step to planning your wedding, but it’s also one of the most important decisions. The venue sets the overall tone for the wedding day! There are so many venue options out there, so it’s really important to pick the one that is right for you! There are so many things that go into picking the right venue! Do you have a certain style, certain needs, a specific location? One of the first things to think about when choosing the right venue is making sure it fits your specific style. Whether it’s a rustic style you’re going for, or a more modern vibe, make sure you are choosing one that will help establish that overall vibe of your wedding.

Something I have learned from photographing tons of venues is that one of the best things you can do is to choose an all in one venue! The great thing, is as new venues open, more often than not, they are an all inclusive venue. There are so many benefits to choosing a venue like this! And even if the venue you’re looking into is not an all inclusive venue, it’s still really important to think about these tips and apply them to your planning!

I have to brag on one of my favorite venues because they are able to offer so much for their couples. Chandler Hill is an all in one venue that has SO many things to offer for you perfect wedding experience! I had the opportunity to speak with Meghan, who is the wedding coordinator at Chandler Hill, and she gave me her expert advice on what to look for when choosing the right venue.

LOCATION

When you are choosing a wedding venue, it’s good to keep the location in mind. For an all in one venue like chandler hill, although they are a bit off the beaten path they offer a shuttle for their guests. This is so helpful, because guests do not have to travel from location to location. If you’re choosing two separate venues for ceremony and reception, make sure to consider the travel distance between both places. It can sometimes be a bit inconvenient if there is a large distance between each place.

BUDGET

This is a big one, and probably one of the biggest deciding factors. Once the venue is booked, that can sometimes determine the rest of the wedding budget. Since Chandler hill, for instance, is an All-Inclusive venue, a lot of time and cost can be saved by going with them, or someone like them. Be sure Meghan told me that they include things like the tables, chair, linens, and what’s even better is that catering is also included.

COORDINATOR

Nothings worse than showing up to a venue and you dont have a coordinator. If the budget allows for a personal wedding planner this may not be something you necessarily need to worry about. But if you are not working with one, it can make things a little difficult not having a coordinator at the venue as a point of contact. Not only does Meghan have a degree in event planning, but she comes with Chandler Hill as the coordinator for the wedding day! She is with you from the beginning of the day, to the end of the day, to make sure that you are completely taken care of, AND to make sure your day is running smoothly. Coming from a photographer/videograoher standpoint, this can be SO helpful! Sometimes your photographer has to double as your day of coordinator. And although we are totally ok with doing that, It can be so reassuring knowing that there is a coordinator there taking charge of things so we can focus on the couple, and capturing the day we need to.

TIMELINE

Timeline and Location definitely go hand in hand. A HUGE benefit to an all in one venue is being able to have everything in one place. From getting ready all the way through the reception. You don’t have to worry about traveling from place to place. It gives you the option to truly relax and know that you are there all day. This obviously helps emensily with timeline. It will save SO much time not having to be in different locations. Chandler Hill offers it all; Getting ready, ceremony, repletion, and one a huge perk…the beautiful property that’s available to get those amazing wedding pictures!

Be sure to do your homework and look at a handful of venues. Every venue is different, and offers different things. But once you find the venue that speaks to you, the rest of the wedding planning will start to fall into place.

If you are getting married in a church and choosing a reception venue make sure you know what you’re getting in your package! Not every reception venue will include tables, chairs, or catering. So be sure to ask these questions. But if you are not getting marries in a church and you’re looking for a ceremony and reception venue, choosing an All-in-One venue is definitely the way to go! It can add so much ease to your wedding day by being reassured that everything is being taken care of in one place.
